Bullying in the Ethical and Islamic Perspective

As part of the activities of the University Psychological Guidance Unit at the College of Political Science – University of Anbar, two faculty members delivered a scientific workshop:

  • Assistant Lecturer Marwan Khalis Saad Al-Obaidi
  • Assistant Lecturer Ziyad Khalaf Ismail

titled:

“Bullying in the Ethical and Islamic Perspective”

The workshop addressed the concept of bullying, its various forms, and its negative impacts on both the individual and society. It also highlighted the ethical dimension and Islamic teachings that call for respecting others and rejecting harmful behaviors. Emphasis was placed on the role of the university environment in reducing this phenomenon through awareness, guidance, and the promotion of human values among students.

The workshop witnessed notable engagement from students, with numerous interventions and questions that enriched the discussion and contributed to enhancing understanding of the risks of bullying and ways to address it. A set of recommendations was also presented, focusing on the importance of spreading a culture of tolerance and positive coexistence within the university campus.
