Assistant Professor Dr. Muhannad Hamid Mahidi, Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs, participated in the public defense of the Master’s thesis entitled:

“US–Indian Economic Partnerships and Their Impact on Regional Balance in Asia,”

submitted by the student Alya Khalid Rahim, held in the discussion hall at the College of Political Science / Al-Nahrain University.

The thesis addressed a vital topic in the field of international economic relations, shedding light on the nature of economic partnerships between the United States and India and their implications for power balances and regional stability in the Asian continent, in light of the rapid transformations in the international system and competition among major powers.

The examination committee consisted of:

  • Professor Dr. Nasreen Riyadh Shanshoul – Member and Supervisor

The defense witnessed an in-depth academic discussion that reflected the solid academic level of the thesis and the importance of the topic in interpreting geopolitical and economic transformations in Asia. At the conclusion of the session, the committee praised the student’s scientific effort, the soundness of the methodology adopted, and the originality of the results achieved.
