College of Political Science Organizes a Scientific Lecture on the Impact of Climate Change on Iraq

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Political Science, Professor Dr. Ahmed Ali Mohammed, the College of Political Science at the University of Anbar held a scientific lecture today for third-year students entitled:

“The Impact of Climate Change on Iraq.”

The lecture addressed the reality of climate change and its repercussions on Iraq, as one of the five most climate-vulnerable countries in the world. It highlighted the causes of these changes, their consequences, and future projections, in addition to proposed solutions to mitigate their effects through the adoption of a long-term strategic plan.

The lecture was delivered by Lecturer Dr. Omar Hamid Shukr, who emphasized the importance of enhancing academic awareness of climate change issues and their role in supporting environmental policies and sustainable development in Iraq.
