Post-2025 Elections: Opportunities for Achieving Political Stability in Iraq
Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Ahmed Ali, Dean of the College of Political Science, the College held a scientific seminar on Thursday, 18/12/2025, entitled:
“Post-2025 Elections: Opportunities for Achieving Political Stability in Iraq,”
with the attendance of a distinguished group of faculty members, researchers, and students.
The seminar featured contributions from Assistant Professor Dr. Moataz Ismail of the Strategic Studies Center, and Mr. Saad Abdul Aziz Mahmoud Al-Rawi, an expert in electoral affairs. They presented in-depth analyses of the election results, the challenges facing the political system, and the possible prospects for enhancing political stability in the coming phase.
The seminar was moderated by Lecturer Dr. Jabbar Hassan Saeed from the College of Political Science, who guided the discussion and opened the floor for questions and interventions, contributing to enriching the seminar and facilitating the exchange of views and ideas among participants.
At the conclusion of the seminar, a set of recommendations was issued, emphasizing the need to consolidate the democratic process, enhance confidence in the electoral process, and support state institutions in a manner that contributes to achieving political stability in Iraq.
