The College of Political Science at the University of Anbar held a scientific lecture entitled
“Trump’s Policy in Light of the Evolution of the Monroe Doctrine: Venezuela as a Case Study,”
delivered by Lecturer Dr. Omar Hamed Al-Mohammadi, as part of the weekly discussion forum (Event and Analysis), on Sunday, 11/1/2026, in the Martyr Professor Dr. Mohammed Hardan Al-Hiti Hall.

The lecture addressed an analysis of U.S. policy toward Latin America, with a particular focus on Venezuela, within the context of the evolution of the Monroe Doctrine and its impact on the international system and regional relations, in addition to reviewing the political and economic repercussions of these policies.
