The College of Political Science, in cooperation with the Anbar Police Command, organized an awareness workshop on Tuesday, 17/2/2026, entitled:
“Drug Abuse and Psychoactive Substances and Their Effects on Family and Social Disintegration.”

The session was moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Jaber Fayyad. The lectures were delivered by:

• Major Numeir Sami Anad – Director of Anbar Rehabilitation Center

• Legal Advisor Marwan Mohammed Abdullah – Director of the Media Division

The workshop aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and psychoactive substances and their negative impact on the family and society, as well as to strengthen cooperation between academic and security institutions in addressing this phenomenon.
