Scientific Activity – College of Political Science / University of Anbar

The Journal of Anbar University for Legal and Political Sciences participated in the First Scientific Conference of Editorial Boards of Iraqi Journals, hosted by the University of Technology in Baghdad, under the patronage and presence of H.E. the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi. The event witnessed broad participation from Iraqi university presidents, editorial boards of scientific journals, as well as international experts from Elsevier, Clarivate, the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, and ASF.

The journal was represented at the conference by Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Masha’an Najm, faculty member at the College of Political Science – University of Anbar and member of the editorial board, who took part in discussions on mechanisms to develop scientific publishing and strengthen the presence of Iraqi journals in international indexing databases.

In his opening speech, the Minister emphasized the importance of intensifying the efforts of Iraqi academic journals to enhance the quality of publishing and improve their standing in global impact and citation indicators. He noted that over the past three years, the Ministry has established a qualitative methodology based on standards of quality and sound governance, alongside continuous training for editorial boards to keep pace with international publishing developments.

This scientific activity reaffirms the role of the College of Political Science at the University of Anbar in actively contributing to the development of research and academic publishing, and in fostering strategic partnerships with global institutions to strengthen the university’s position in international rankings.
